Frequently Asked Questions

Process

We begin by discussing your vision for the big day, along with any details that will accompany it (ex. florals, theme, color palette, venue). Using the notes from our conversation, I will put together a quick moodboard to give you an idea of what the suite will be drawing inspiration from. Following approval of the moodboard, there will be 1 round of sketches, 2 rounds of designs and 2 rounds of revisions. The final proof will include the full design, as well as details on paper type, printing method, and any add-ons. Typical turnaround time for designing a custom Invitation Suite is 3-5 weeks.

Yes, we’d be happy to guide you along in the language used for your invitations!

To ensure that your wedding suite truly reflects your vision from start to finish, we recommend leaving the production process to us and our trusted printers. We quality-check all the pieces and can address any minor issues that may come up, so you can focus on the rest of the wedding planning!

Yes, we provide assembly services, which can be added to your custom design package for a fee. This can include special details such as wax seals, ribbons, or vintage postage stamps. We do not mail invitations directly to your guests so that you may inspect them one last time before sending them off yourself.

Timing

Typically Save the Dates should be sent out six months in advance for local weddings and nine months in advance for destination weddings. Therefore, we recommend placing your order 5-8 weeks before the day you need to receive the finished piece from us. This time includes signing the contract, designing and revising the Save the Date, and printing.

Invitations are generally sent out two months in advance for local weddings and three months in advance for destination weddings. We recommend placing your order 7-10 weeks prior to the day you plan on sending them out. This time includes signing the contract, designing and revising the Invitation Suite, printing, and possibly assembling.

For fewer than 100 envelopes, please allow 1-2 weeks to have them completed upon receipt of materials (whether you send them to me or I order them myself). For 100+ envelopes, please allow 2-4 weeks before they are shipped to either you or your guests.

Many of our clients have unique ideas for their big day that involve unconventional materials such as leaves, lollipops, and giant mirrors. We’d love to help you create those one-of-a-kind pieces that wows your guests as they enter. Lead time often depends on the complexity of the individual project so there’s ample room for material sourcing and proper execution. Please contact us for a more accurate timeline!

Yes, we charge a 30% rush fee of the total amount. Please let us know before we begin design / writing!

Ordering

Please let us know right away if you need additional invitations. We can send you a revised invoice if the files have not gone to our printer yet. Otherwise, there will be additional set up and material costs and you will receive a separate invoice that must be paid in full prior to sending the extra invitations to the printer.

Unfortunately, because our invitations are all made to order, we cannot reduce the number once the order has been placed. Please double-check to make sure you’ve selected the correct amount before making a payment.
